Registry Fixer: A Slow Computer Fix
The Windows Registry of your PC is the data base that contains the settings and functions related to the windows operating system. This is the operational brain of your computer. Through use and time it will become cluttered and disorganized and will need a registry fixer. A “fixer” will simply find errors, corrupted files, misplaced files, duplicates, etc. and will repair, eliminate or organize the content of the registry.
Do you need a windows registry fix? Here are some easy fixes for slow computers:
(1) Make sure your computer is updated and current with Windows. Keeping updates current are more important than you might think. It is always better to have your windows updates set for automatic and then you will not forget to do the update and eliminate one possible problem area.
(2) Deleting internet temporary files and other temp files can help fix a slow computer by temporarily eliminating some RAM memory use. If this helps for a short time and then the computer begins to slow again you may need to add more RAM memory to the computer. Archiving emails may help with slow email handling. And even saving music and videos to disc can help if your computer’s storage capacity is reaching its limits.
(3) Defrag and do a Disc Cleanup. From your main program menu go to Accessories and System Tools and you will find these two different functions you can run on your computer. This can be a good computer speed fixer since they will organize the stored data and computer applications helping them to operate faster.
(4) Anti-virus protection. Viruses are some of the most common factors in slow computers. A virus can do many things to your computer such as running loops in the background that uses up your operational memory. Many computers have been discarded due to viruses that remained undetected. And some well known anti-virus programs do not do an adequate job of finding and removing viruses from your computer. Don’t think that since you have an anti-virus program on your computer that you do not have any viruses. Research or ask computer techs which virus to use. There are good ones that are free for home use and be a great slow computer fix.
(5) Spyware and malware are like blood suckers in your computer, draining it of speed and capacity. And the same can be said of spyware and malware protection programs as above with viruses. Some spyware / malware programs simply do not do their job and computer owners believe they have eliminated these problems when in fact they have not. All software is not created equal. Research and find the right one.
